Meet Sarah.
Sarah Sraj, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Cleveland. She earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Bowling Green State University. Sarah specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and expressive and receptive language disorders, helping children build the communication skills they need to connect, learn, and thrive.
For Sarah, one of the most rewarding aspects of speech therapy is witnessing growth—both the major milestones and the smaller victories that happen between sessions. She loves partnering with children and families over time, celebrating progress as communication skills develop and confidence grows.
Her passion for speech-language pathology began during her freshman year of college while working as a paraprofessional for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays. Inspired by the resilience, determination, and daily accomplishments of the preschoolers she supported, Sarah quickly realized she had found her calling. By the end of her first week in the therapy setting, she knew she wanted to spend her career helping children reach their fullest potential.
When meeting a child for the first time, Sarah makes it a priority to learn about their interests before the session begins. Whether it’s a favorite toy, hobby, character, or activity, she incorporates those interests into therapy to create an environment that feels engaging, comfortable, and fun. For older children, she often includes “get-to-know-you” activities that help build rapport and establish trust from day one.
Sarah’s favorite children’s books include the beloved Llama Llama series by Anna Dewdney and the I Survived series by Lauren Tarshis for older readers. As a child, she loved the adventures of Corduroy by Don Freeman, a timeless story about friendship, belonging, and perseverance.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her family, including neighborhood walks with her young son and daughter. She loves warm weather, holiday celebrations, and traveling whenever she gets the opportunity. With her compassionate approach, enthusiasm for learning, and commitment to helping children communicate, Sarah brings both expertise and heart to every therapy session.
