This program allows families of children with autism to access specialized education and therapeutic services outside of their home school district—services that are aligned with the goals outlined in their child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Autism Education Plan (AEP).

Who Is Eligible for the Autism Scholarship?
Your child may qualify for the Autism Scholarship Program if they meet one of the following criteria:
They have a current IEP created by your school district that identifies autism as a qualifying disability. All parties, including the parent/guardian, must be in agreement with the IEP.
OR
They have a private diagnosis of autism and the condition is reflected in either an IEP or an Autism Education Plan (AEP) developed by your local school district.
Children become eligible to apply for the Autism Scholarship once they turn three years old.

Visit the Ohio Department of Education’s Autism Scholarship webpage to see if your child qualifies.Secure an IEP or AEP.
Your child must have an active IEP or Autism Education Plan created in collaboration with your school district.Choose a Provider.
Once your child is eligible, you can select a certified provider like McKibben & Monte to deliver the services outlined in the plan.
