Meet Sarah, a dedicated Occupational Therapist on the McKibben & Monte team in Cincinnati. Sarah earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Milligan University. With specialties in sensory processing, motor planning, ADHD, and autism, she is passionate about helping children build the skills they need to thrive in their daily lives.
Sarah’s favorite part of being a therapist is the joy she sees when children are genuinely excited to work with her—especially when they greet her with a smile or run in for a hug. Those moments fuel her commitment to creating therapy sessions that children look forward to week after week. She was drawn to occupational therapy because it allows her to serve others in meaningful ways, guiding people of all ages toward discovering activities that enrich their lives.
When beginning therapy with a new child, Sarah places a strong emphasis on building trust and creating a safe, supportive environment. She believes a solid therapeutic foundation is essential for progress, and she takes the time in those early sessions to ensure children feel comfortable and confident.
Sarah’s favorite children’s book is The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper, a timeless story about persistence and possibility. As a child, she loved the Nancy Drew series and the Ramona Quimby books, both of which sparked her love for stories and curiosity.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family—whether hiking in nature, watching a movie together, or simply playing outdoors. She also loves reading and exploring photography as creative outlets. With her caring approach and dedication to building strong connections, Sarah is a valued member of the McKibben & Monte team.
