Randi Botwinick, MA, CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Sarasota. She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Montclair State College and her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State University. Randi’s specialty areas include early intervention, speech and language therapy, autism, and augmentative communication.
Randi loves working with young children and their families, combining education with practical, functional therapy techniques that make a meaningful difference in everyday life. She values partnering with caregivers to ensure strategies used in sessions can be confidently carried over into home and community routines.
She was inspired to become a speech-language pathologist because of the versatility the field offers—the ability to work with children and adults in a variety of settings while helping individuals gain new skills or relearn abilities that may have been lost. That blend of impact and connection drew her to a career centered on communication and growth.
When beginning with a new child, Randi focuses first on establishing rapport and identifying the child’s strengths. By building on what a child already does well, she creates a foundation for confidence and skill development. Watching children learn, grow, and achieve new milestones is what she finds most rewarding.
Her favorite children’s book is Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney, and as a child she enjoyed reading A Fish Out of Water by P.D. Eastman. Outside of work, Randi enjoys going to the beach with her family, traveling, and exploring new places together. With her warm approach and commitment to early intervention, Randi helps children strengthen their voices and their confidence—one milestone at a time.
