Meet Meme, a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Jacksonville who is passionate about helping children thrive through communication. Meme earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida International University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration, giving her a strong foundation in both clinical care and family-centered support.

Meme was inspired to pursue speech-language pathology after working with a young deaf child while serving at a shelter for undocumented immigrant children. That experience left a lasting impact and shaped her dedication to helping children access communication and express themselves with confidence. Her favorite part of being a therapist is watching children grow and flourish as their communication skills develop.

When Meme begins working with a child, she focuses the first two sessions on fun, child-led activities designed to build rapport and trust. By creating a relaxed, engaging environment from the start, she helps children feel comfortable, connected, and excited to learn.

Meme’s favorite children’s book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle, and as a child she loved the story of The Lion King. She is fluent in three languages — English, Haitian-Creole, and Spanish — allowing her to connect meaningfully with families from diverse backgrounds.

When she is not working, Meme enjoys movie nights with her family and expressing her creativity by making decorations for weddings and other special events. With her warmth, cultural awareness, and playful, child-first approach, Meme brings compassion and joy to every family she serves.
