Meet Megan, a compassionate Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Columbus. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and her Master of Occupational Therapy from St. Louis University. In her work, Megan thrives on partnering with children to help them reach their fullest potential—whether that means mastering daily tasks, exploring new activities, or simply discovering the joy of doing their “job” as kids: playing, eating, and interacting with the world around them.
Megan’s favorite part of being an occupational therapist is how naturally it fits with her other roles in life. As both a mom and a therapist, she understands the importance of nurturing growth and building confidence in everyday moments. When working with a child for the first time, Megan focuses on getting to know what truly motivates them, ensuring that therapy feels rewarding and fun.
Her favorite children’s book is On the Night You Were Born by Nancy Tillman, a story that celebrates every child’s uniqueness. Growing up, Megan was captivated by the adventures of the Berenstain Bears, which fed her love for exploring the world through stories. Outside of her professional role, Megan enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, traveling, and staying active—she’s even completed eight marathons! Her blend of empathy, experience, and enthusiasm makes Megan a trusted ally in helping children and families flourish.
