Speech Language Pathologist

Meet Holly, a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Tampa. Holly holds a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Health Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of Florida. She specializes in articulation, expressive and receptive language, AAC, feeding, reading, and fluency, bringing expertise and warmth to her work with each child.

For Holly, the most rewarding part of being a therapist is witnessing her clients’ progress and building meaningful connections with their families. Inspired by her cousin with Down Syndrome, Holly has always had a natural bond with children who face unique challenges, which led her to the field of speech therapy.

Holly’s approach to therapy emphasizes trust and rapport. She knows that establishing a comfortable, playful environment—whether through games, crafts, or casual conversation—creates a foundation for therapy success. Her favorite children’s book to read with kids is Little Blue Truck by Alice Schertle, where they can have fun making animal and vehicle sounds together. As a child, she enjoyed the humor of the Amelia Bedelia books by Peggy Parish.

Outside of work, Holly enjoys coffee, beach outings, walks with her puppy, and diving into a good mystery novel. Holly’s dedication to helping children communicate and her commitment to building trusting relationships make her a valued member of the McKibben & Monte team.
