Meet Haley, a Speech-Language Pathologist serving the McKibben & Monte team in Tampa. Haley earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Communication Disorders from Marshall University and brings a thoughtful, individualized approach to every child she works with. As a Gestalt Language Processing–Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) trained clinician, she specializes in supporting children whose communication journeys look different, meeting them exactly where they are and guiding them toward meaningful progress.
Haley’s favorite part of being a therapist is creating sessions that are fun, engaging, and motivating for each child—while also equipping families with practical, functional activities they can use at home. She believes communication is one of the most empowering skills a child can develop, and she was inspired to pursue speech pathology by the opportunity to help children find their voices and confidently express themselves.
When beginning therapy, Haley carefully individualizes each session to the child’s needs, interests, and communication style. By following the child’s lead and adapting as needed, she creates a supportive environment where growth feels natural and achievable.
Her love for children’s literature carries into her work. Haley’s favorite book to share with children is Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin, and as a child she adored Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle. Outside of therapy, she enjoys spending time outdoors, playing board games or cards with her family, relaxing in a hammock with a good book, and adventuring with her chocolate lab, Hazel.
With warmth, creativity, and a deep commitment to individualized care, Haley is dedicated to helping children build communication skills that open doors to connection, confidence, and independence.
