Meet Grace, a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Tampa. Grace earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Arkansas and her Master of Communication Disorders from Arkansas State University. She specializes in pediatrics and early intervention, with a passion for supporting children at the earliest stages of their communication journeys.
Grace’s favorite part of being a therapist is watching children grow and develop new skills, especially when she sees them use what they’ve practiced in therapy in their everyday lives. She finds it incredibly rewarding to work alongside families as children discover their voices and build confidence in expressing themselves.
Her path to speech therapy was inspired by her lifelong desire to help others. The ability to give children the tools to communicate was a perfect fit, and Grace now enjoys working with a wide range of clients to strengthen their communication abilities. When beginning therapy with a new child, she focuses on learning about their interests and building a strong connection, which she believes is key to making progress both meaningful and fun.
One of Grace’s proudest professional accomplishments was helping a child with no communication abilities learn to share his wants and needs appropriately—a transformative moment for both the child and his family.
When she’s not working, Grace loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends, particularly outdoors. With her dedication, compassion, and child-centered approach, Grace is a valued part of the McKibben & Monte team, making a lasting difference in the lives of the children she serves.
