Meet Emma, an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist on the McKibben & Monte team in Cleveland. With a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and a Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center, Emma specializes in working with children with Autism and other neurodivergences, guiding pediatric feeding support, and using a strengths-based approach to intervention.
Emma’s passion stems from the joy she feels when families and children achieve their goals—no matter how big or small. Her journey into occupational therapy began as an undergraduate, observing a kindergarten classroom where children with different abilities weren’t supported as they deserved. Determined to advocate for these children, Emma dedicated herself to helping them thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
At the heart of Emma’s approach is building a trusting rapport. She wants every child to feel safe, supported, and confident, making therapy sessions more than just “work”—they’re opportunities to grow through play, connection, and understanding. She’s guided by the mantra “Time is the only thing you can never get back,” reminding her to make every moment count.
When Emma’s not working, she can often be found outdoors, hiking trails and savoring crisp mornings over coffee with her son, husband, and dog. Her dedication to helping children find success, combined with her compassionate, strengths-focused perspective, makes Emma a valued member of the McKibben & Monte team.
