Meet Emily, an Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Columbus. Emily earned both her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Keuka College in central New York. With specialties in pediatrics, sensory processing, and feeding, she is passionate about helping children grow and thrive through meaningful, family-centered therapy.

Emily’s favorite part of being a therapist is working closely with children and their families, celebrating progress and development along the way. She finds it incredibly rewarding to witness a child’s growth and to support families through each stage of the journey. Her inspiration to pursue occupational therapy came in high school when she shadowed an OT and realized the profound impact the profession could have on children’s lives.

When starting therapy with a new child, Emily prioritizes building a relationship rooted in trust and comfort. She knows that children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and understood, and she makes this connection the foundation of her approach.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and camping with her family—though she prefers the comfort of a cabin to a tent! Her dedication, warmth, and expertise make Emily a valued member of the McKibben & Monte team and a trusted partner for families.
