Meet Christine.
Christine Enos, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Tampa. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from West Chester University and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida. Christine specializes in early language development, phonological treatment, shared book reading, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and play-based intervention, helping young children build strong communication foundations through meaningful and engaging experiences.
Christine’s favorite part of being a speech-language pathologist is connecting with children and celebrating their progress through play. She believes some of the most impactful learning happens when children are actively engaged, having fun, and building confidence in their abilities. Watching a child develop new communication skills and gain independence is what makes her work so rewarding.
Her passion for speech-language pathology stems from a lifelong desire to help others. She was drawn to a profession that combines meaningful relationships, problem-solving, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families. Today, she finds great fulfillment in supporting children as they develop the skills needed to communicate, connect, and thrive.
When beginning with a new child, Christine focuses first on building rapport through play-based intervention. She understands that strong relationships create the foundation for successful therapy and takes time to learn about each child’s interests, strengths, and personality. By creating a positive and supportive environment, she helps children feel comfortable, motivated, and ready to learn.
Christine is particularly passionate about early intervention and helping children develop communication skills during the critical early years of development. Whether supporting language growth, improving speech sound production, introducing AAC systems, or using literacy-based activities to strengthen communication, she tailors therapy to each child’s unique needs and goals.
Her favorite children’s books include Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, the beloved Old Lady series, and Where’s Spot? by Eric Hill. These stories reflect her love of imagination, interaction, and playful learning—elements she incorporates into her therapy sessions every day.
Outside of work, Christine enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, reading, cooking, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. She also looks forward to annual family trips to the beach, where she can relax and make memories with the people she loves most.
Christine’s favorite quote is: “Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” This optimistic perspective shines through in her work as she helps children discover their strengths, celebrate their progress, and find confidence in their ability to communicate.
