Christina Drasch, OTD, OTR/L, is an Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities before completing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Concordia University of Wisconsin. Christina works with children in both early intervention and school-age settings, helping them build practical skills that support greater confidence, independence, and participation in everyday life.

Christina’s favorite part of being an occupational therapist is helping children recognize just how much they are capable of achieving. She loves watching their confidence grow as they master new skills and reach meaningful milestones. Just as rewarding is seeing the pride and excitement on a family’s face when their child accomplishes something they have been working toward together.

When Christina first meets a child, her priority is getting to know the person behind the therapy goals. Through child-led play, she learns about each child’s interests, personality, strengths, and motivations while creating an environment that feels fun and engaging. This relationship-driven approach helps establish trust and gives Christina a strong foundation for developing therapy experiences that are meaningful to each individual child.

Christina supports children across a variety of developmental areas, including sensory processing, handwriting and fine motor skills, self-care, social pragmatics and play skills, emotional regulation, and skills that contribute to success in school. By focusing on practical strategies that can be incorporated into a child’s natural environments, she works closely with families to help children develop abilities they can use throughout their daily routines.

For Christina, occupational therapy is about much more than completing a task. It is about helping children experience the pride that comes from realizing, “I can do this.” Those moments—both big and small—are what make her career so meaningful.

Outside of therapy, Christina’s favorite children’s book is Put Me in the Zoo by Robert Lopshire, a playful classic that fits perfectly with her belief that learning and development can—and should—be fun.
