Meet Camryn, an Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Sarasota who brings patience, encouragement, and a child-first mindset to every session. Camryn earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Jacksonville University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida State University. She is ADOS-2 testing certified and is passionate about supporting children through thoughtful, developmentally appropriate care.

Camryn’s favorite part of being a therapist is watching children learn new skills and reach milestones they have worked so hard to achieve. Those moments—when effort turns into confidence—are what fuel her dedication to occupational therapy and remind her why this work matters so deeply.

She was inspired to pursue occupational therapy after recovering from a wrist injury in high school. During that time, she experienced therapy firsthand and realized she wanted a career helping children grow, learn, and succeed. Having worked with kids since the age of 14, occupational therapy felt like a natural and meaningful path.

When Camryn begins working with a child, her first priority is building trust and rapport. She believes children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and understood, and she intentionally focuses on connection before introducing demands or challenges.

Camryn’s favorite children’s books include anything written by Dr. Seuss, and as a child she loved the Junie B. Jones series by Barbara Park. Outside of work, Camryn also coaches cheerleading and enjoys spending time at the beach, being with her dog Luna, and soaking up summers in Northern Michigan. With her warmth, empathy, and commitment to each child’s success, Camryn is a valued part of the McKibben & Monte team.
