Meet Aubrey, a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist on the McKibben & Monte team in Columbus. With a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Hearing, Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology from Kent State University, Aubrey specializes in articulation, phonology, childhood apraxia of speech, and play-based therapy.
Aubrey’s favorite part of being a therapist is helping children feel truly heard and appreciated. She loves weaving their special interests into therapy sessions, celebrating every tiny success as her young clients grow in skill and confidence. Her passion for working with children began when she babysat and volunteered as a youth camp counselor—experiences that confirmed her calling to support kids in their developmental journeys.
When first meeting a child, Aubrey’s goal is to make therapy fun. She encourages imagination, playfulness, and creativity, ensuring that each session is not only educational but also genuinely enjoyable. Her go-to children’s book is The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson, and as a child, she was captivated by The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
Outside of work, Aubrey loves going on walks, exploring local farmers’ markets, spending quality time with friends and family, and heading to the beach whenever she can. Her warm, encouraging approach makes Aubrey a valued partner in helping children find their voices and thrive.
