Alyssa Kaleel, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Meet Alyssa, a devoted Speech-Language Pathologist on the McKibben & Monte team in Cleveland. With a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences from Ohio University, Alyssa specializes in early language development and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

What Alyssa loves most about her work is forming one-on-one relationships with students and witnessing their growth over time. She was drawn to the field of speech pathology by a desire to make a tangible difference in people’s lives, empowering them to communicate and advocate for themselves. When beginning therapy, Alyssa focuses on building trust and connection, then guides learning through play to keep each session engaging and meaningful.

Alyssa’s favorite children’s books include the “Pete the Cat” series by Kimberly Dean, reflecting her playful and upbeat approach. Growing up, she adored “The Little Ballerina” by Dorothy Grider, a story that sparked her appreciation for imagination and perseverance. She holds close the quote, “Play is our brain’s favorite way of learning” by Diane Ackerman, a philosophy that shapes every interaction with her clients.

Outside of her professional life, Alyssa enjoys relaxing by shopping, reading, and taking leisurely family walks through Lakewood Park. Her dedication, creativity, and genuine care make Alyssa a trusted partner in helping children reach their fullest communication potential.
