Meet Haley, a dedicated Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Cincinnati. Haley earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy from The Ohio State University and her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Miami University. She brings a holistic and compassionate perspective to her work, focusing on the unique needs and goals of every child she serves.
Haley’s favorite part of being a therapist is seeing students make progress and shine when their interests are incorporated into therapy. She finds it incredibly rewarding to create fun, engaging activities that highlight each child’s true capabilities. Inspired by her mom, a nurse who first sparked her interest in healthcare, Haley chose occupational therapy because of its whole-person approach and its focus on what matters most to each client.
When beginning with a new child, Haley prioritizes connection, regulation, and motivation. She believes kids learn best when they feel supported, are emotionally regulated, and have a motivating goal to work toward—principles that guide every one of her sessions.
Her favorite children’s book is Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel, and she fondly remembers her mom reading I’ll Love You Forever by Robert Munsch to her as a child. Outside of her professional work, Haley loves attending Columbus Crew games with her husband, skiing, playing pickleball, hunting for home décor treasures on Facebook Marketplace, and enjoying quiet mornings with her coffee and her cat, Maisie.
With her thoughtful, child-centered approach and her enthusiasm for helping kids succeed, Haley is a valued member of the McKibben & Monte team.
