Meet Megan, a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Sarasota. She earned both her Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences & Disorders from the University of South Florida. Megan’s areas of specialty include autism, language disorders, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), where she brings expertise and compassion to every child she serves.

For Megan, the most rewarding part of being a therapist is forming meaningful relationships with clients and celebrating their progress as they meet their goals. She was first inspired to pursue the field in high school after meeting a representative from the National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA). Captivated by the blend of art and science in speech therapy, she quickly knew this was the career path for her.

When working with a new child, Megan takes a child-led, play-based approach. She believes children learn best through play and strives to create fun, engaging sessions that empower each child to grow at their own pace. Her favorite children’s books include Pete the Cat by James Dean and The Good Egg by Jory John, while as a child she loved reading Angelina Ballerina by Katharine Holabird.

Outside of therapy, Megan enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time at the beach. With her warm approach, clinical expertise, and playful spirit, Megan is committed to helping children build communication skills that last a lifetime.
