Chelsey Yorks, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Meet Chelsey, a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Jacksonville. With a Master of Arts in Communicative Sciences & Disorders from Hampton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology from Loyola University Maryland, Chelsey brings expertise and heart to every session. Specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), articulation, and early language development, she is dedicated to helping children find their voices.

Chelsey’s favorite part about being a therapist is witnessing the joy and confidence that bloom when a child achieves a goal—especially when therapy is fun and engaging. Inspired by a lifelong fascination with how we make sounds and learn to talk, she embraces the variety that each child brings to her practice.

When she first works with a child, Chelsey focuses on building a strong connection by learning about their unique interests and creating a supportive, playful environment where they can thrive. Her favorite children’s book, Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae, perfectly captures the spirit of embracing one’s individuality—just as she encourages her clients to do. Outside of work, Chelsey loves relaxing by the pool with her husband and Baby Lottie, hitting the pavement on a run, and staying active through her favorite workouts.
