Meet Sarah, an Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Cleveland. Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from The Ohio State University and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. She specializes in sensory integration, social-emotional skills, fine motor (FM), and visual-motor integration (VMI), supporting children in building skills that foster independence and confidence.
Sarah’s favorite part of being a therapist is helping children succeed in the activities that matter most to them. She finds it especially rewarding when a child masters a new skill they’ve been working hard to achieve. Her therapeutic approach starts with building trust and rapport, followed by a child-led treatment style that empowers kids to engage in learning at their own pace while making therapy both effective and fun.
As a child, Sarah loved reading the Amelia Bedelia series by Peggy Parish, the Junie B. Jones books by Barbara Park, and classics by Eric Carle—all of which continue to inspire her appreciation for children’s creativity and curiosity.
Recently relocated from Chicago, Sarah is enjoying exploring Cleveland and discovering new restaurants around the city. With her expertise, thoughtful approach, and dedication to making therapy meaningful, Sarah is a valued member of the McKibben & Monte team.
