Lindsay Lavin, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a Speech-Language Pathologist with the McKibben & Monte team in Sarasota. She earned her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University and her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Loyola University Maryland. Lindsay specializes in working with late talking children, early language development, articulation, and oral motor and sensory feeding therapy.
Lindsay’s favorite part of being a therapist is forming meaningful one-on-one relationships with her students and watching their growth unfold over time. She treasures the moments when a child gains a new skill, finds their voice, or experiences a breakthrough that builds confidence both inside and outside of therapy.
She was inspired to pursue speech-language pathology by her mom, who is a nurse. From a young age, Lindsay knew she wanted to work in healthcare and dedicate her career to helping others. Speech therapy offered her the perfect blend of connection, creativity, and impact.
When beginning with a new child, Lindsay makes it her mission to keep therapy fun and engaging. She focuses on building strong rapport with both the child and their family, knowing that trust and collaboration are essential to meaningful progress. By creating a positive, supportive environment, she helps children feel comfortable, motivated, and excited to learn.
Her favorite children’s book is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, and as a child she loved Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys spending time outdoors—walking, hiking, camping, and going to the beach. She recently started a book club with friends and loves discovering new authors. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, listening to live music, and dancing whenever she gets the chance.
