Teal got into speech therapy, because she wanted to have a career that could make a positive impact on people’s lives. Her mom is a speech therapist and a special needs preschool teacher, and Teal had the opportunity to observe the joy that that brought to her mother firsthand. Observing her mom in the classroom and seeing speech therapy sessions and the improvement of communication and social connection for young children sealed her desire to become a speech language pathologist.

Teal’s favorite part of being a therapist is working with kids and seeing them thrive and develop through play. Teal specializes in motor speech development.

When she is not working, Teal loves spending time with her parents and friends as well as painting, crafting and cross-stitching.
