Meet Taylor, a compassionate and creative Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Tampa. Taylor earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from West Virginia University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Arts in Human Performance and Health. Specializing in pediatrics, she focuses on sensory processing skills and social skill development to help children thrive in their daily lives.

For Taylor, the most rewarding part of being a therapist is empowering children and their support systems with the tools they need to fully engage in meaningful activities. She discovered her passion for occupational therapy in college while searching for a career that blended creativity, health, and wellness with the ability to make a lasting impact. With a love for anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic intervention, occupational therapy was the perfect fit.

When working with a new child, Taylor prioritizes building trust and connection. She gets on their level, listening to both verbal and nonverbal communication cues, ensuring that therapy feels safe and engaging. She also values collaboration with parents, teachers, and caregivers to create a strong team effort in supporting the child’s success.

Outside of work, Taylor has a passion for plants and enjoys propagating new greenery for her home. She loves gardening vibrant flowers in her yard and hosting themed gatherings for friends and family, especially if they involve trying out a new craft. When she’s not busy helping children achieve their goals, she’s spending time with her two beloved dogs, Fred and Frances. Taylor’s warm, creative, and hands-on approach makes her an invaluable part of the McKibben & Monte team.
