Meet Jennifer, one of our dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists at McKibben & Monte in Columbus. With a Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Akron and a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science from Ohio State University, Jennifer specializes in preschool service delivery, bringing a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her work with young children.
What Jennifer loves most about being a therapist is the joy of working with families and witnessing children gain confidence in their communication skills. Inspired by her mother, who works with individuals with ALS, Jennifer followed her mother’s advice to explore speech-language pathology—and she couldn’t be happier with that choice. As Jennifer puts it, “Turns out, mothers usually know best.”
Jennifer takes a play-based approach to therapy, believing that when children are having fun, they’re more engaged and ready to learn. One of her proudest moments as a professional was hearing a child tell their mother “I love you” for the first time—a moment she’ll never forget.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time in her garden, hiking, and making memories with her family during their fun-filled board game nights. With her dedication, empathy, and playful spirit, Jennifer is passionate about helping children and families thrive.
