Meet Deb, a compassionate Occupational Therapist on the McKibben & Monte team in Cincinnati. With a Master of Science in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from Xavier University, Deb specializes in sensory regulation and supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, bringing a wealth of knowledge and warmth to her work.
Deb’s favorite part of being a therapist is the meaningful connections she forms with children and their families. She takes a holistic, play-based approach to therapy, focusing on treating the whole child through engaging and fun activities that encourage growth and learning. Deb was drawn to occupational therapy because of the creativity and flexibility the career offers, especially in pediatric settings, which has always been her passion.
When working with a child, Deb believes in building strong relationships to create a foundation of trust and comfort. She understands that children learn best through play, and she designs therapy sessions to be both challenging and enjoyable, ensuring that each child feels supported while having fun.
Outside of work, Deb loves taking cooking classes with friends and traveling with her family. Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff, and as a child, she enjoyed reading Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. Deb’s caring, creative, and personalized approach to therapy makes her a treasured part of the McKibben & Monte team.
