Meet Brindy, an Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Tampa. Brindy earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with endorsements in English for Speakers of Other Languages and Exceptional Student Education (K-12). With her dual background in education and occupational therapy, Brindy brings a uniquely holistic perspective to supporting children’s growth and independence.
Brindy specializes in reading education and foundations, sensory integration and regulation, pediatric yoga and mindfulness, and social skill development. She has also pursued extensive additional training in areas such as Sensory Diet Development, Astronaut Training: A Sound Activated Vestibular Visual Protocol, Autism Across the Spectrum, Caregiver-Led Therapy, Pediatric Teletherapy, and Supporting Functional Development in Early Intervention. Her commitment to continued learning allows her to bring a wide range of effective tools and strategies into her practice.
Brindy’s greatest motivation comes from empowering children through play-based therapeutic activities that increase independence and improve quality of life. She transitioned from teaching to occupational therapy to focus more holistically on helping children develop functional skills that support independence and meaningful participation in everyday activities. Parents, caregivers, and teachers consistently praise her dedication, with one parent sharing: “Brindy is amazing! She really takes time to work with her client as well as the parent. I’ve seen such positive changes—not only in my child but in the classroom as well. The feedback from everyone has been overwhelmingly positive.”
When she isn’t working, Brindy enjoys taking yoga and pilates classes, riding her bike, playing board games, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, and her dog, Zoey.
With her strong foundation in education, advanced clinical expertise, and heartfelt approach, Brindy is dedicated to making therapy both fun and impactful—helping children and families achieve meaningful progress every step of the way.
