Therese was inspired to pursue speech pathology not only by her older sister, Eileen who is a speech therapist, but also through her love for working with children.
Her favorite part about being a therapist is building relationships with her clients and watching them gain confidence as they achieve their goals. Therese’s primary approach to therapy when first working with a child is to always make sure that she allows time for the child to get to know her. She does this by setting up an environment where they are most comfortable through play.
Therese specializes in articulation and phonology, apraxia, and early education.
Therese is one of five children. So, when she is not working, she loves being with her big family, eating delicious food, cooking and baking with her family and spending time outside.
“Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” – Mother Teresa
