Amanda Pate, M.A., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

In college, Amanda had a professor who changed her life with inspiration and incredible storytelling. It was that teacher’s influence that caused Amanda to change her major to speech pathology.

Amanda’s loves spending her days playing and being silly while helping children improve their ability to communicate with their families, peers, and other important people in their lives. Her goal for therapy is to always make therapy appear more like play. Research suggests children learn more quickly when introducing concepts and challenging areas through means that come naturally to them. And what is more natural to a child than play?!

Amanda’s areas of special interest include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Apraxia/Motor Planning.

When she is not working, Amanda likes to read, do puzzles, exercise, get facials, try new restaurants and travel with her husband and family. She and her husband have traveled to 15 countries outside of the US since they began dating in 2014.  And Amanda loves Halloween!
