Meet Pam, a dedicated Occupational Therapist with the McKibben & Monte team in Cleveland. Pam earned her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Professions in Occupational Therapy from The Ohio State University. With specialties in sensory processing and developmental fine motor skills, she is passionate about helping children overcome challenges, build confidence, and celebrate progress.
Pam’s favorite part of being a therapist is the meaningful connections she builds with clients and their families. She finds it deeply rewarding to witness the joy children feel when they master a skill for the first time, especially after working hard to achieve it together. Inspired by her older brother, a physical therapist, Pam’s interest in rehabilitation grew early on. Once she discovered occupational therapy and its unique role in pediatrics, she knew she had found her calling.
When starting therapy with a child, Pam focuses on observation—paying attention to how a child approaches tasks and listening closely to their needs. She also values insight from parents and teachers to gain a well-rounded understanding. By creating an atmosphere of trust and rapport, Pam ensures that children feel comfortable engaging fully in therapy. She believes child-led sessions are a wonderful way to uncover strengths and build a foundation for growth.
Pam is also the co-author of Sensory Processing 101, a resource that reflects her expertise and commitment to helping families and educators better understand sensory needs.
Her favorite ways to unwind include reading, practicing yoga, cooking for friends and family, and taking walks with Kevin, her golden retriever. Most importantly, she treasures time spent with her children, Jack and Ella Jane. With her wealth of experience, collaborative spirit, and genuine care, Pam brings warmth and expertise to every child she serves at McKibben & Monte.
